About Our Community

This is the promise that the staff at Emeritus at Seabrook - and throughout Emeritus Senior Living communities - has shared since 1993, when our community first opened its doors. It's a simple promise to be compassionate and kind, understanding and respectful - a promise to become extended family to the seniors entrusted in our care and to our retirees who have chosen our retirement community for its active lifestyle.

The Perfect Location

Our quaint senior living community is located in a residential neighborhood just five miles south of downtown Everett. Emeritus at Seabrook is nestled back from the road in a beautiful setting. We are centrally located to everything this northern Puget Sound city has to offer, including Providence Regional Medical Center and the Everett mall. Our community is adjacent to 4th Avenue W, close to Highway 99, and I-5 is less than one mile from us.

Everett is a wonderful small city located in Puget Sound, with spectacular views of the Olympic Mountains and close proximity to Seattle. In addition to its small town community feel, Everett offers all kinds of amenities. The Everett Mall, with its wide variety of banks, restaurants, specialty shops, major clothing retailers, book store, hobby shop and much more is just a quick five-minute drive from here. Providence Regional Medical Center is also within close proximity, as well as the Comcast Arena, where residents enjoy local sporting events. In addition, we take residents in our own vans to attractions around the region. For example, we recently visited the Kangaroo Farm, Miniature Horse Farm, Museum of Flight, and Woodland Park Zoo in Seattle. We also visit our local casinos and take residents out to lunch every month. Our residents decide where they want to go—the sky’s the limit! We will take them just about anywhere in our own vans.

A Wonderful Selection

Emeritus at Seabrook offers a total of 60 senior apartments, including four differently configured studios, as well as one-bedroom suites. All senior apartments include a refrigerator, microwave, full bath with walk-in shower, wall-to-wall carpeting, large windows with blinds and curtains, and a small window with a blind looking into the hallway. Some apartments have views of our courtyard; others look out onto a greenbelt. All utilities except basic cable and telephone are included. In addition, each senior apartment is individually climate-controlled including air conditioning. And pets up to 25 pounds are welcome at our community!

Senior Living Community

You’ll feel a sense of family everywhere you go. When you first walk in, residents will often be engaged in conversation in a sitting area near the front entrance or in the living room/library with its piano, fireplace and large-screen television. Above the living room is a balcony and open area, from which residents often sit and watch musical performances held below. At mealtime, residents dine in our bright, spacious dining room with its huge windows, tall ceilings and light-colored walls. Should they want to bake cookies or prepare refreshments, our activities room includes an oven and stove. In nice weather, they can be seen relaxing in our lovely U-shaped courtyard, which is furnished with cheerful white-wicker chairs and tables and protected by an awning. Grass, walkways and a garden all around the courtyard create a lovely area for enjoying the out-of-doors. And in the summer of 2010, our staff helped residents establish three raised-bed vegetable gardens for their gardening pleasure. Learn more about Emeritus’ senior living apartments.

Strong, Caring Professional Relationships

For the convenience of our residents, we bring many healthcare services into our senior community. A physician comes here once a week to see his patients. A podiatrist is available on site once a month. We also offer onsite visiting nurse and hospice services. In addition, the Westin Group provides occupational and physical therapy services at our community – a new service that is allowing us to be even more responsive to the rehabilitation needs of our residents and enabling us to ensure greater continuity of care. The same therapists see our residents and as a result, become very familiar with their care needs. In addition, they know our community and can make sure the resident’s apartment is set up to accommodate his or her specific rehab requirements.

Our Staff

One of the key strengths of our community is our staff of LPNs. We offer 16 hours of nursing services each day, seven days a week. This is especially important, since Emeritus at Seabrook has many diabetic residents in need of daily blood sugar monitoring and insulin injections. Our full-time resident care director, a registered nurse, performs the initial assessment of new residents, and manages our nursing department and supports our LPNs as needed. We also offer the services of staff med techs, who work with our LPNs to provide medication management. Our staff of resident assistants take care of all daily assisted living services, and our housekeeper cleans each apartment once a week. Just as we have low resident turnover, we also have many staff members who have been here for 5 to 10 years, including caregivers, kitchen staff and our life enrichment director, who joined our community in the early 2000s.
