We are easily accessible from Brambleton Avenue, Colonial Avenue, Interstate 581 and Highway 220.Our community is within 5 miles of downtown Roanoke where there are hotels, restaurants and historic areas. We are convenient to popular shopping locales, such as Towers Shopping Center and Tanglewood Mall. Emeritus at Roanoke is within 30 minutes of Virginia Tech, Smith Mountain Lake and the Bedford D-Day Memorial.
A Wonderful Selection
At Emeritus at Roanoke, we specialize in dementia and Alzheimer's care. We have 56 private apartments which are fully furnished, and include half baths. Our community is broken into four individual homes that truly reflect a home-like environment (kitchen, living and dining areas).
The community is all on one level which makes it easy to navigate and to access all common areas. Our common areas give residents and their loved ones the opportunity to get to know one another and interact in a safe and comfortable atmosphere. Our large outdoor courtyard is accessible from anywhere in the community.
For families who need a short-term living solution for their loved one, or would like to see if our community is a good match for them, we offer short-stay/respite programs.
Strong, Caring Professional Relationships
At Emeritus at Roanoke, we’ve developed strong professional relationships with the largest health-care providers locally, including Roanoke Memorial and Lewis Gale Medical Center.
Rehabilitation services are provided onsite five days a week by Genesis Rehabilitation, including physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy. We also contract with a house physician and house psychiatrist.
We pride ourselves in having a close working relationship with numerous professionals within our community and surrounding areas. Those relationships benefit not only our residents, but their friends and family members as well.
Many of our staff members have been with our community for more than five years. All our team members are specially trained to care for those affected by Alzheimer's and dementia and are committed to being compassionate, kind and understanding of our residents’ needs. Our staff’s goal is to help our residents maintain quality of life and allow them the dignity to live their lives in a way that feels familiar to them.
