About Our Community

A Campus Community

Emeritus at Alpine Campus community is home to three different senior living communities that provide increasing levels of care. This means that residents have the security of knowing they can remain on campus, close to their friends and in familiar surroundings, even as their health needs change over time.

Emeritus at Alpine Cottages are set in a beautiful park-like neighborhood, and are perfect for independent residents who live an active lifestyle.

Emeritus at Alpine Springs is our private senior apartment community that provides assisted living care services for residents who need help with personal care or activities of daily living.

Emeritus at Alpine Court is our small, homey memory care community for residents who are living with Alzheimer’s, dementia or other memory loss issues.

The Perfect Location

The Alpine campus is conveniently located just four miles from downtown Eugene, which is just big enough to offer a wide variety of sight-seeing, dining, shopping, entertainment and sports-viewing opportunities. And with easy access to Route 569 (the “Beltline”), we can easily take residents into the beautiful countryside surrounding Eugene.

The PeaceHealth Medical Group, which specializes in geriatric care, is right next door – and Sacred Heart Medical Center at RiverBend, a brand new, state-of-the-art regional medical center, is a quick 10-minute drive west.

This region is filled with abundant beauty and year-round events, such as the Swan Island Dahlia Festival, the Wooden Shoe Tulip Festival, the Hood River Blossom Festival, the Scandinavian Festival, the annual Quilt Show, the Shrewsbury Renaissance Faire, and the Rose Parade in Portland.

We also visit all of the region’s attractions, such as Devil’s Elbow on the Oregon Coast, the Oregon Air and Space Museum, the heirloom rose gardens in St. Paul, the Columbia River Gorge, Storybook Land in Albany, the Peony Gardens in Brooks, the Oregon International Raceway, local gold mines, and the old-fashioned Western town of Sisters.

A Wonderful Selection

The Alpine campus is one big home to three different communities, designed so our residents can age in place as their health needs change.

The Alpine Cottages, for our independent residents, are spacious and light, with huge windows. Each offers two bedrooms, including a master bedroom suite with its own bathroom and sliding doors to a back patio; another full bath; full kitchen; and single-car garage with automatic garage door opener. Our cottage neighborhood is situated on a beautiful park-like setting, perfect for summertime block parties and barbeques!

Alpine Springs is a 70-unit private apartment community that provides assisted living care. This community has several styles of studio and one-bedroom apartments. All of our apartments are spacious, bright and cheerful, and include a small kitchenette with sink, refrigerator and microwave; extra large bathroom with safety walk-in showers and wide doors; individually controlled air conditioning and heat; and an emergency call system. This community was designed to maximize the sunlight into the community. The dining room, for example, offers a high vaulted ceiling with three stories of windows. Our library also has tall windows, as well as a quiet nook for reading and an area for putting together puzzles. We have an area with a pool table, as well as an ice cream parlor, family dining room, garden and greenhouse, and salon/barber shop.

Alpine Court, our small, homey memory care community has 56, single-occupied studio apartments all on one level, making it convenient to navigate. We offer two types of studios: a semi-private style in which two single-occupied studios share one bathroom, or a private room with its own bathroom. This community has four distinct “neighborhoods,” each with its own intimate dining space. All four neighborhoods connect onto a huge atrium that creates the feeling of being outdoors. With its trees, plants and gazebo, it is a favorite place for residents to stroll about. In addition, the community provides two interior courtyards and two outer courtyards – all four of which are secured for the safety of our residents.

Strong, Caring Professional Relationships

Staff at the Alpine communities have developed and nurtured strong relationships with area hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, and local health-care providers in order to provide a seamless continuum of care for our residents. These health-care providers include PeaceHealth River Bend, which is the premier geriatric clinic in Eugene; Avamere Rehab and Avamere Riverpark of Eugene; Eugene Good Samaritan; and Sacred Heart Hospital, to name a few.

And depending upon what the resident needs for rehabilitation services, we will bring in outside physical, occupational and speech therapists to work with residents here on site. We can also bring in outside hospice services as necessary.

Our Staff

We are blessed to have staff members who have devoted their life’s work to working with seniors. For example, our Memory Care Director has 22-plus years of experience working with people with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia, while our Memory Care Life Enrichment Director has an 18-year career working with this special group of people.

In addition, many of our team members have been with us since we first opened in 1999. Part of the reason our staff is so trustworthy and caring is that they joined our community with the attitude that they are going to stay here – and they do. They are passionate about caring for seniors, and it shows in the way they take pride in their jobs and how they care for each resident with dignity, respect and humor.
