What a perfect opportunity to tell your favorite Emeritus friend or employee how much they mean to you: give to the Emeritus Employee Fund.
The Emeritus Employee Fund is a special collection of money that provides much-needed assistance to members of our Emeritus family who are experiencing a crisis, or an emergency.
Financial hardships, fires, floods, medical assistance for their children. The list is long and scary. But thanks to your generosity, nearly 50 of our wonderful employees and their families have made it through some very difficult times.
You can make a big difference, with just a little donation. To share just one story from the Fund giving:
This past year, one of our Emeritus employee’s difficulties started when her home caught fire. They lost everything. Her son was then diagnosed with Crohn's disease, a painful disease with very expensive medication. To make things worse, her husband was battling liver disease, causing him to be out of work on temporary disability. This Emeritus employee continued to work while trying to care for and support her family. She wants to give back to the Fund when she is on her feet. She even offered one of her last vacation days to a fellow employee as a way to show her appreciation, and to help someone else – just like her.
We ask you to consider a donation to this Fund – on behalf of the dedicated, hard-working Emeritus employees who make a difference in someone’s life – every single day.
