Montrose, Colorado Retirement and Assisted Living Community
Emeritus at Sunrise Creek
Montrose, CO 81401
This is the promise that the staff at Emeritus at Sunrise Creek - and throughout Emeritus Senior Living communities - has shared since our community first opened its doors. It's a simple promise to be compassionate and kind, understanding and respectful - a promise to become extended family to the seniors entrusted in our care and to our retirees who have chosen our Montrose, Colorado assisted living, memory care and retirement living community for its active lifestyle.
The Perfect Location
Emeritus at Sunrise Creek is set on fourteen acres of beautifully landscaped grounds with walking paths surrounding the main building and exterior cottages. The community is centrally located with miles of local walking trails, parks, and bike paths just outside the entrance. An interior open courtyard is complete with pond, circular path, raised planters, flowering plants, and seating.
Adjacent to the community is a large pasture, which is home to horses, wild deer, fox and other animals. Emeritus at Sunrise Creek is surrounded by the towering San Juan and Cimarron mountain ranges to the south and the Black Canyon National Park to the east – both are visible from the community and provide a majestic backdrop.
The town’s hospital, physician’s offices, and other medical services are a short drive, the performing arts center, the Montrose Pavilion and Senior Center, is just down the street, and several national chain retail stores and shopping centers are nearby. The downtown area is thriving with locally owned businesses and restaurants and is home to the farmer’s market and weekly Main in Motion event during the summer months hosting numerous street vendors and outdoor entertainment.
A Wonderful Selection
Emeritus at Sunrise Creek offers 71 assisted living apartments of various sizes on two floors, 24 memory care semi-private suites, and 14 retirement living cottages. Amenities include a spacious dining room with “restaurant” style seating, a private dining room which can be reserved for large parties, a stocked library, pool table, card tables, media room, 1950s inspired diner, outdoor interior courtyard, van transportation to errands and medical appointments, and free use of two laundry rooms.
Strong, Caring Professional Relationships
Emeritus at Sunrise Creek maintains a strong relationship with area hospitals, nursing homes and rehabilitation centers. We are a member of the Senior Resource Councils in both Montrose and Delta, a member of the Montrose Association of Commerce and Tourism, and highly active in fundraising efforts for the Western Slope Alzheimer’s Association.
Emeritus at Sunrise Creek is unlike any other community in our area – the staff is loving, respectful, energetic, and work together to maintain the highest standards of care. The management team at Sunrise Creek has been in place since the opening in 2007 and our caregiver staff has very little turnover.
The caregivers choose to work here because they all have a genuine interest in making Emeritus at Sunrise Creek the best home-like community for our residents. Our life engagement staff “interviews” each new resident and asks about the events that shaped their lives, their likes and dislikes, and discovers the little things that make each person unique in an effort to best serve their emotional, spiritual, and physical needs.
