Assisted Living Services

At the Meadows, Assisted Living services are provided according to the resident’s personalized care plan, which we review periodically so that residents get the specific services they require. No matter what a resident may need – from weekly housekeeping to help with daily living to the full range of support services – our staff is focused on helping all residents remain independent, active and functioning at the highest levels possible.

In addition, because we provide the full continuum of senior living services all on one campus, residents are able to remain with us, even if their health needs change.

Long-term Care

The Heritage is a wonderful option for residents who require around-the-clock nursing care. Our community has deep roots in the area and is known throughout North Central West Virginia for its compassionate staff, small home-like environment and spectacular setting. Our highly skilled nursing staff and full complement of rehabilitation therapists are licensed to care for up to 51 residents at a time. Whether a resident requires a feeding tube or has mild dementia issues, we have the expertise to care for all kinds of chronic illnesses or medical conditions that often plague seniors. We can also bring in hospice care as needed, although many residents feel so comfortable in our hands, they prefer our staff providing end-of-life care.

Throughout their stay – some residents have lived with us for more than 10 years – our Life Enrichment Director offers a variety of activities and programs to help residents remain engaged and socially connected with one another. Playing cards, trivia games, Bingo and even enjoying tailgate parties for our favorite football team are just a few of the activities on our busy calendar. We also take residents on outings to a local lake for fishing and a stop for ice cream. If a resident doesn’t find something that they can enjoy, they can let us know; our team is always eager to develop and implement new activities geared to specific interests. Plus long-term care residents are always invited to attend any activities held throughout our campus community.
