Spokane, Washington Senior Living Community

Dining Experience

Our Dietary Services Director, and his staff, endeavor to make our resident's dining experience enjoyable and satisfying. Our chef's daily mission is to offer variety and quality in the dining room, and strive to exceed expectations for presentation and taste. The DSD also oversees a monthly Resident Food Committee, where residents have the opportunity to express their food preferences and make suggestions in making their dining experience exceptional. In addition, this committee selects a special menu which is to be served for the monthly “Resident Choice” meal.

Wonderful Active Lifestyle

Our Life Enrichment Director designs a robust schedule of activities, outings and other social programs designed to add joy, purpose and meaning to the lives of each resident. They enjoy things like regular outings to the local casinos, restaurants, city parks and scenic drives. Weekly art class, exercise, Tai Chi and regularly scheduled entertainers can be found on the monthly activity calendar, along with Wii games, radio theater and movies, to name a few.

The Importance of Pets

Numerous studies have shown that when we spend time loving our pets we feel better! Pets are loyal and lovable, and offer us unconditional devotion. They bring out our instincts for nurturing; we feel needed and relied upon. Our stress levels decrease as they allow us to hold, stroke, groom, or just play with them. For most pet owners, the relaxation our animals provide us by just being there as our friend, enriches our daily life, can lower blood pressure and improve our mental and emotional well-being.

Because we value this time-tested connection people have with their pets, Parkway Village invites you to have your small pet live with you at our community. We gladly accept most small pets with a minimal pet deposit and size requirement.

Welcome home - to you, and your pet!
