A Wonderful Active Lifestyle
Our senior living community is small and cozy; a place our residents are proud to call home. As we like to say, we may not have all the bells and whistles of the expensive assisted living buildings, but we offer an atmosphere much like our residents grew up in – homey, inviting and warm. And our friendly staff, many of whom have been here for several years, always greet everyone with a genuine smile and kind words.
Emeritus at Renton also offers nursing care 14 hours a day, 7 days a week, as well as on-site diabetic management. And should a resident ever require hospitalization, there’s no better place to receive care than right here, with Valley Medical Center, the VA Hospital, Virginia Mason Hospital, Swedish Medical Center, and Harborview Medical Center among just a few of the outstanding hospitals located in the Greater Seattle area.
Our full-time life enrichment director offers a robust activities program that is carefully geared to our residents’ interests and preferences. In fact, we have an active resident council, which lets us know what residents would like to see in our community, including activities and outings. For example, in response to our resident council, we recently implemented happy hour. Wii® bowling is also very popular, and in fact, we hold competitions with our sister Emeritus community in nearby Federal Way. Residents also enjoy all kinds of games, from dominos to Bingo to cards, as well as memory games that promote brain health. Our weekly schedule always includes different types of arts and crafts programs, as well as a current events discussions and movie nights with popcorn – always the residents’ choice. Every day, our wellness coordinators lead a fun seated exercise program designed to help our residents stay limber and build muscle strength. And once a week, we hold a non-denominational Rosary service, which is attended by many friends and families from the Renton community who affectionately call us The Renton Villa Church!
Partnering with the Local Neighborhood Community
We are fortunate to have a close relationship with the Renton Senior Center. Three times a week, a bus from the center picks residents up right here at our building for a morning or afternoon of fun and fellowship with other seniors in the area. And of course, they bring them back to our senior living community when they’re ready to come home.
Fine Dining
We serve three meals a day, restaurant style. Our menu typically includes a variety of comfort food favorites, with a main entrée and alternate always available. Our gracious staff serves our residents: soup, salad and bread first, followed by the entrée, then dessert. Residents often tell us that our food is “comfortable and delicious.” A variety of snacks, including beverages and fruit, is always available. We can also accommodate special dietary needs with physician orders. When you come for a tour, just ask about our special diets.
