We have promised ourselves that we shall always treat our residents as we would our own loved ones. Nothing less than our best will do.
This is a simple promise that the staff at Emeritus at Kirkland - and throughout Emeritus Senior Living communities - has shared since 1995 , when our community first opened its doors. It's a simple promise to be compassionate and kind, understanding and respectful - a promise to become extended family to the seniors entrusted in our care and to our retirees who have chosen our senior living community for its active lifestyle.
The Perfect Location
Emeritus at Kirkland is nestled in the lovely Houghton neighborhood, with its gracious single family homes, tree-lined streets and beautiful views of Lake Washington. I-405 is less than two miles to our east, and Lake Washington Blvd. is just to our west. Two major hospitals, Overlake Hospital Medical Center and Evergreen Hospital Medical Center, are also within an easy drive.
Beautiful Lake Washington, the largest lake in King County, defines the greater Seattle area. Many parks can be found all along the Eastside, including Marsh Park just down the hill from our community and Houghton Beach Park to our south. The Houghton neighborhood is also known for its wide variety of casual and fine dining restaurants, including the nearby Fish Café and Beach Café, as well as several metropolitan markets and coffee bars. Just to our north is Carillon Point, with its many boutique shops and a large marina situated on Kirkland’s beautiful waterfront, which offers unsurpassed views of Lake Washington and the Seattle skyline.
A Wonderful Selection
Our community offers 75 senior apartments on three floors. We offer a wide range of options, from 383-square-foot studios to 800-square-foot double suites, where many of our married couples live. Each apartment includes full baths, kitchenette with refrigerator, weekly housekeeping, laundry services, wireless Internet and cable television. You are also welcome to bring your small pet (up to 25 pounds). We also offer companion friendship living suites! Learn more about Emeritus’ senior living apartments.
When you first come through the doors at Emeritus at Kirkland, it feels much like a gracious boutique hotel, with its spacious lobby and mansion-style architecture. In addition, we offer many common areas, including beautiful upper and lower dining rooms, private dining room for special occasions, barber/beauty salon, elegant living room with fireplace, a library, theater room with large-screen television, activities room and more. The words, “gracious,” “elegant” and “comfortable” are often used by residents to describe our community. For example, our main dining room has enormous windows with burgundy drapes and tall ceilings accented with chandeliers. A second floor balcony overlooks the main dining area, offering residents another place to eat and relax. And our theater is furnished with comfy upholstered armchairs.
Strong, Caring Professional Relationships
Life Care Center of Kirkland provides occupational and physical therapy services on site at our community, five days a week. They work closely with residents to help them gain back lost skills, strength and mobility. Their services are provided in our dedicated OT/PT room.
