Federal Way, Washington Senior Living Apartments

A Wonderful Active Lifestyle

Many of our residents join us five days a week for our seated group exercise program, which includes light weights, kick ball and stretching. We also offer Bingo three days a week, daily card games, happy hour on Fridays, two church services every week, and regular outings to local restaurants. In addition, we take residents to the local movie theater once a month and occasionally to the Federal Way symphony. We also schedule regular store trips to our local Big Lots and Wal-Mart, as well as outings to Dash Point State Park and to the Muckleshoot Casino; transportation in our own vans is provided. Federal Way has a brand new library, just two miles from our community. Every month, the library travels to us with all kinds of books – even special requests – for our residents to enjoy. And for something totally different, many residents have become very involved in Wii bowling, including participating in Wii tournaments with other Emeritus communities in the area. What about holidays? We always celebrate every major holiday, offering a lunch or dinner typically a few days before the holiday for our residents and their families and friends.

Partnering with the Local Neighborhood Community

Throughout the year, the community at large is invited to join us for our open houses, when they can take tours, meet our staff, enjoy refreshments and chat with our residents. We also welcome anyone to come by for a tour anytime, seven days a week, when a staff member will be available to show you through our community.

We partner with the Federal Way Senior Center, located less than five miles from our community, and often take residents to enjoy lunch and various events and classes held at the center. Our community also has excellent relationships with the local hospitals and doctors’ offices, including St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center, Auburn General Hospital and the Virginia Mason Clinic.

Fine Dining

We serve three meals each day, restaurant-style, including two dinner entrees and alternative choices. If a resident wants a full meal, it’s available, but if they only want a chef’s salad or sandwich, they just need to ask. Our dining services director/chef is very flexible and creative! She is always finding new choices to add to our offering and loves to prepare theme menus for special occasions, such as our recent Mexican fiesta night. Our food always gets kudos from our residents! What about special diets? That’s no problem. We can accommodate diabetic diets and doctor-prescribed diets for residents who need their food prepared in a special way for easier digestion. We can also provide meals for vegetarians. Fruit, muffins and cookies are available all day in our activities room.
