A Wonderful Active Lifestyle

We have local dance groups that come in to entertain, Line Dancing, Square Dancing as well as ball room dancing. We always have a Valentine Dance for the residents and families and this year we are planning to have a Back To School Dance. We always observe holidays such as Halloween and the children from a local Day Care Center come to Trick or Treat and have a Costume Parade for the residents then they return at Easter time for a Easter Egg hunt that the resident and staff have prepared for them. Thanksgiving is our big family event, it is always the Saturday before Thanksgiving and all the families attend, it is lots of fun for every one. As for day to day Activities, there is a daily exercise program, Bingo, shopping, gospel sing along, family game night, ladies pajama movie night. There is always a jig saw puzzle that the residents can sit down and work on. In the winter one of the favorite things every one does is meet in the dining room for a cup of hot chocolate and be able to visit and trade stories of their youth.

Partnering With the Local Neighborhood Community

We always participate in local Health Fairs, by having a booth to advertise our community, and we always take our residents to visit the boots and see what is available to them. We help with events at several rehabs and Senior Citizen centers We deliver Meals on Wheels once a month in our bus and help with local food drives for Meals on Wheels. We participate in fund raisers for APS and The Santa for a Senior program.

Fine Dining

Three meals a day are available, starting with a country west Texas style Breakfast, a hearty lunch and a lighter dinner. Once a month we have residents choice, where the residents vote on the lunch they would like to have and it is usually steak with baked potato or Mexican food. Our dining service is relaxed and home like, with the menus posted on each table and servers that are very helpful and caring toward the residents.

The Dining Service Director has worked in this field for about 15 years and is always looking for new ways to please the residents.
