Henderson, Texas Retirement Living Community

A Wonderful Active Lifestyle

Emeritus at Henderson offers a wide range of activities each month. We take our residents on frequent outings including Lunch Bunch twice a month; weekly trips to Wal-Mart, post office and local banks; local museums and attractions such as the London Museum and Azalea Trails in Tyler; the Henderson Civic Theatre; weekly scenic drives and many other excursions. Exercise program, brain health activities, socials, live entertainment, movie nights, board games and cooking club are just a few of the other activities we provide on a monthly basis. We firmly believe in Oliver Wendell Holmes quote: “We do not quit playing because we grow old, we grow old because we quit playing.”

Partnering with the Local Neighborhood Community

Emeritus at Henderson partners with six local churches of different denominations who alternate Sunday mornings/afternoons and Wednesday nights to bring Sunday School and Church directly to our residents. In addition, we partner with our Elementary and Preschools and invite children to participate in intergenerational activities with our residents for special occasions and holidays. Our staff and residents also support various organizations such as the Alzheimer's Association, Relay for Life, Support Our Troops, and others, by participating in a variety of different projects throughout the year.

Fine Dining

At Emeritus at Henderson, we serve three delicious homemade meals daily in our beautiful and relaxing dining room, designed for our residents to enjoy conversation and a satisfying culinary affair. At our community, we believe in choices and offer you a number of entrée selections at all meals, many of which are made up of favorite local recipes. We also have large holiday meals, summer cookouts and family dinners for residents and families to enjoy.
