Emeritus at Vickery Towers Community Testimonials

Community Testimonials

We went to visit the Emeritus at Vickery Towers because we really liked the area as a possibility for our aunt.

There are beautiful views of the skyline throughout the facility. Each communal room featured nicely decorated and lovely furnishings. There are a variety of activities offered - from the library, to games, media and social events.

The communal areas were nicely designed with easy to access furniture and a comforting decor. There were plenty of nice areas for quiet time as well as socializing with other residents and friends, family and other visitors.

The dining rooms were quite comfortable - with nice seating and a variety of options. The menu variety was filled with an interesting and healthy mix of wonderful and delicious, nutritious foods.

The facility's close location to the arboretum, provides the residents with a lovely space outdoors so that they may enjoy nature's beauty from right in the city. The residents also can visit all of the museums, art galleries,

Local and nearby restaurants feature every kind of food imaginable, from classic American, to seafood, Italian, Mexican and more.

The facility is also near to medical facilities of every type, including the Presbyterian Hospital. The Central Expressway is also easy to access for friends and family.

The residents are encouraged to enjoy classes at the exercise facility - or to receive individual instruction on yoga, weight training and other equipment. They can also take walks on the adjacent walking lanes through the courtyard.

We could see that the residents are treated with care and kindness and really enjoy living at this facility. Their care is adapted as needed.

We also liked that the community is joined with Weston Therapy Group - and there are offices at the facility. They have access to any kind of care that they may may need -- from general check-ups to physical or speech therapy - and hospitals, if required.

It was clear that the care at this facility provides understanding and caring caregivers for the best care of its residents.

My mother has been living at Vickery Towers since Nov. 2011. She has a large room with a living/eating area, kitchenette, and full bath. The staff is wonderful, always friendly and involved with the residents. Recently, when we had Tornadoes in our area, the staff was on top of everything. They moved the residents downstairs to a safe area, and were vigilant until the tornado warnings were over. My mother enjoys three hot cooked meals a day, restaurant style with white tablecloths, etc. Each day there are activities on and off site. She has been able to keep her dog and enjoys walking on the spacious grounds several times a day. The bus takes her to church each Sunday. The facility has Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Care. Some of the apartments on the upper floors have a wonderful view of the Dallas Skyline.
