The Perfect Location

Emeritus at Kingsport has an ideal location nestled upon a hilltop with a gorgeous view of the East Tennessee Mountains. The property is beautifully landscaped with an inviting courtyard and walking paths. This gives us a rural, hometown feeling while still being conveniently located close to Indian Path Medical Center, Wellmont Holston Valley Hospital and nearby businesses such as Kingsport Pavilion Shopping Plaza.

Emeritus at Kingsport is conveniently located upon a hilltop along North John B. Dennis Hwy (Hwy 93) within the city limits of Kingsport. We are just one half mile from the heart of town - East Stone Drive -but far enough away to be out of the bustle and noise. Although close to town, we still have the privilege of enjoying a view of the mountains. We have a near perfect climate allowing us to enjoy warm Southern temperatures in the spring and summer, the vibrant colors of the leaves turning in the Fall, and mild East Tennessee winters. There is plenty to do while enjoying the weather, such as visiting nearby Warrior's Path State Park, Bays Mountain Park, Natural Tunnel State Park or one of our local lakes. Our residents often visit these places for scenic drives and picnics.

Emeritus at Kingsport features 44 apartments surrounding a beautifully landscaped courtyard with walking path, an arbor, and raised flower beds. Our community is elegantly styled with all the features of home, including a large front porch with rocking chairs, a courtyard patio area, and a screened porch. The interior features several living room and gathering areas. A living room complete with a cozy fireplace, a delightful sunroom, a television room, and an activity gallery with an ice cream parlor create a wonderful homelike atmosphere for residents to enjoy. There are five apartment styles to choose from, each of which includes a spacious bathroom with safety handrails, large closets, individually controlled heating and air, and an emergency call system with speaker response for added assurance.

Whether sharing a snack in the ice cream parlor with a granchild, working a puzzle with a friend in the card room, enjoying the hilltop view from the front porch, or gathering with others in the living room next to our cozy fireplace - our community gives residents and their loved ones the opportunity to get to know one another and enjoy each other's company. We also offer a wide range of services and activities each month, allowing residents to live life to the fullest while we take care of all the mundane daily chores such as cooking, cleaning, and laundry.

Strong, Caring Professional Relationships

We nurture strong relationships with area hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, and rehabilitation centers such as: Wellmont Holston Valley, Indian Path Medical Center, Wexford House, Holston Manor, and Healthsouth Rehabilitaion. Through the communications and relationships that we share, we provide a seamless continuum of care for our residents.

Our Staff

Our staff is led by an Executive Director with several years of experience in assisted living operations. Our Executive Director works closely with a licensed practical nurse who serves as the Resident Care Director. Our Resident Care Director has 15 years of nursing and direct care experiences. Our Dining Service Director and full-time cook each have almost five years of service with our community. Several of our Resident Assistant Staff have tenures as long as 10 years plus in our building.
