Spartanburg, South Carolina Assisted Living Services

Assisted Living Services

When a potential new resident is considering moving in, our Resident Care Director – also a nurse – does a thorough assessment to determine the appropriate level of care and creates an individual care plan. This plan ensures that the resident gets just the services needed and doesn’t pay for those s/he doesn’t need. A second evaluation is done 30 days after move-in; in some cases, once the resident is getting meals and help with managing their medications, the level of care decreases.

Should a resident be struggling at any time – perhaps feeling depressed or overly tired, for example – we often bring in our Life Enrichment Director to help motivate them to get involved in our many activities. We recognize that if residents are able to meet others with similar interests and have a purpose throughout the day, they’ll feel better and enjoy life more. So we do everything we can to uncover underlying causes for any issues residents may be having. We can also help residents with financing concerns and with securing veteran benefits as necessary.

Alzheimer's and Dementia Care Services

Our memory care community offers an innovative program, Join Their Journey®, for seniors affected by Alzheimer's or dementia. Because your family's experience will be unlike any other, our goal is to get to know you and your loved one, so that we can offer support and solutions for your individual situation. We "join the journey" of your loved one by recognizing individuality, encouraging choices and allowing residents the dignity to live in a secure, personalized and familiar setting that feels comfortable for them.

Skilled Nursing Care

The staff of our skilled nursing facility is a small, close-knit family with a full-time Life Enrichment Director who takes the time to get to know each resident. As a result, she’s able to create activities that enable every resident to participate in something of interest. For example, recently, she took three of our skilled nursing residents to a baseball game – and she enjoys providing manicures for our ladies.

Just like in the other areas of our campus, we are very focused on our residents. As we like to say, our skilled nursing community is a place to come and live this part of your life to the fullest extent possible. In fact, with our skilled nursing staff providing 24-hour around-the-clock care, supported by our on-staff physician and nurse practitioner, we are often able to keep residents out of the hospital and here in their own home, continuing to enjoy life even with medical limitations.
