Ocoee Florida Walmart Donates Flowers to Seniors

Last Valentine's Day we noticed that Walmart had all kinds of flowers left over after Valentine's Day, and when we asked what they were going to do with them they said, "THROW THEM AWAY".

Well, I said no way and asked them to donate them to our community. They did and we put smiles on a lot of faces in our community and donated the balance to a local nursing home.

Easter was last week and we noticed the same scenario at our local Walmart, and when I spoke to the flower manager she said they would do the same thing.

As you can see from the picture we had more than enough flowers and the residents pitched in and arranged and delivered flowers in all the residents in our community. We then took the balance to two nursing homes in our neighborhood. [ Read more ]

Vacaville Seniors Celebrate Easter with Family and Friends

Then the afternoon was busy with activity as "Sharon's Petting Zoo" brought in all her wonderful animals. There were a lot of hands touching, petting and holding of the baby goats, silky chickens, rabbits, hampsters, and a pot belly pig.

We invited the staff and families to join in the fun and the Easter bunny also stayed on. The weather was beautiful and warm and everyone enjoyed their day!
