We would have never known that in our midst there was an author with as many accolades as our own Esther Perkins. This resident who we call our own was the first female Baptist pastor in the state of South Carolina! This is something that we would have never known by her quiet demeanor and soft smile.
She finally worked up the nerve to share her book with one of the employees and we could not be more proud to have Mrs. Perkins among us, setting an example and achieving such high goals.
