A New Ms. Villa de Anza was Crowned in Celebration of National Assisted Living Week!

On Wednesday, Sept. 14, 2011, Emeritus at Villa de Anza celebrated National Assisted Living Week by hosting the Miss Emeritus Villa De Anza pageant. A member of each of our dedicated staff sponsored a contestant and helped her prepare for the pageant.

Our caregivers, dining room attendants, and medical technicians assisted their chosen residents by selecting an outfit, pampering each of their beauty queens with a hairstyle, make-up and accessories. They then worked on their contestant's talent and helped prepare her for their pageant question.

A Community of Talent

The 8 contestants played piano, sang, danced and scrapbooked into the hearts of the judges. The pageant finale was fun and memorable for everyone! All of our contestants are beautiful and winners! They were all presented with floral bouquets and tiaras.

Announcing the Winner

Our main winner and pageant Queen of Villa de Anza is Mary Sanders. Our first runner up is the beautiful Sue Latham. Our community enjoyed the event so much that other residents are already planning their talents for next year’s pageant!

Amazing Assisted Living Week

Assisted Living Week is about celebrating the wonderful ways our staff can make a difference in the lives of our residents. Based on the smiles of our winners, this pageant is a wonderful example of the difference Emeritus is making.
