Events for Necanicum Village in Seaside,Oregon

Seaside has been very busy with community projects. We adopted a soldier in Afganistan for Thanksgiving. The resdients and staff were able to give him phone cards, a couple of hand held games and some treats. We sent it to him before Thanksgiving so that he was able to call his family. What a blessing and we appreciate all of our service people.

Necanicum Village residents and staff also did a food drive. The residents insisted that it either be a veteran or a veteran's family. We discovered a family that had lost her husband in Iraq, was a veteran herself, and had 4 children. The residents and staff collected about 65 pounds of food including a turkey and a gas gift card so she could fill up her car with gas.

Over October and November Necanicum village in Seaside, Oregon, had a coat drive; this was to help "warm up" those in need in the local area. We did a press release and the residents, staff and community donated over 60 coats. This will go a long way to help the local folks in Oregon to stay warm on the winter days. We would like to thank all of those that participated.
