I tell this one to my two grandkids Aidan (12) and Paige (9) and they think it’s hilarious:
It was 1966, I was 15 and it was my very first date. His name was Paul and we were double-dating with another couple. I was very nervous. After a movie, we stopped at Manner’s Big Boy and ordered a bucket of chicken.
Just as I took a bite of chicken, Paul took a wing in his hands and ‘flew’ it around the car. It was one of those jokes that is hilarious when you’re only 15. I started laughing. Then I started choking. And then, to my horror, I threw up in his car! He never took me out again. I saw him at our 40th reunion and, much to my mortification, he remembered our date!
