Senior Care
Senior care refers to a range of care-giving services provided to previously independent individuals, who are no longer able to perform day-to-day activities. The type of specific care provided depends on the mental and physical state of the individual.[1]
Common types of senior care include custodial care for assistance with daily activities, such as bathing and grocery shopping, to skilled care for post-surgery or illness rehabilitation or recovery. As physical and mental capacities decline, palliative care may be provided for individuals no longer able to receive adequate medical treatment, or for those suffering from cognitive impairments, such as dementia.
