Tropical Weather and Storm Preparedness
Tropical storm season can be a stressful and uncertain time. Being prepared is the most important thing you can do for your loved one as tropical weather and storm season approaches. We want to help you take action now to keep yourself, your family and friends safe.
Do you have the following prepared if a hurricane hits?
- Evacuation plan
- Alternative housing options
- Three to seven day supply of food and water
- Emergency generator
- Extra clothing
- Extra flashlights and batteries
- Battery operated radio
- Fully charged cell phone with extra battery
- Emergency outlets
- Prescriptions filled in case of an emergency
- Extra medical supplies
- List of emergency contacts including gas, electric and phone company
- Vehicle fuel tanks filled
- Important documents in a waterproof case (insurance, medical records, social security card, bank account numbers, etc.)
- Pet care items
