Community Testimonials
Necanicum Village is a very nice facility in Seaside. The facility is very open and airy, there are many windows which allows in a lot of natural light which makes the place look more cheerful. It is very spacious, which is nice because the residents have room to move around, room for some privacy and personal space, but there is a lot of empty space which makes it look unfinished and uncomfortable. It's like when you walk in to a house and see hardly any furniture - it just doesn't give off a very welcoming and cozy feeling that homes should give off. I feel the same awkward feeling in this community because of all the extra space - it just seems like they should do something to fill up the empty spaces, even just a side table with a lamp or vase of flowers would work in many of the spaces.
The grounds are beautiful, there are many sitting areas and places outside for the residents to socialize. There are winding sidewalks the residents can use for leisurely walking. The landscaping is perfect and there are so many trees and shrubbery and greenery, for a second it looks like you are in the middle of the woods somewhere - not at the beach! It's really beautiful - with spectacular views. The residents always tell me about how much they love taking walks outdoors. I will sometimes take walks with them and I can tell how happy it makes them to be outside among such beautiful landscaping. I am so happy that they have such pretty grounds to enjoy.
The staff members are very nice - they are always so friendly and helpful. During one of my visits a resident lost a ring that she had been wearing, one of significant importance to her, and one of the staff members searched up and down for 2 and 1/2 hours. The staff member searched the common areas, the residents apartment, the grounds, she re-traced the residents steps, she looked in every crack and crevice she could think of. They finally found the ring...in the residents pocket...but the point is, is that the staff member knew how much that ring meant to the resident and she was ready to move mountains to find it for her. I have always been very impressed by all that the staff members do for the residents and I am very appreciative for who the staff members are to the residents. They are people that the residents are able to lean on, people who the residents are able to trust whole-heartedly and people that the residents can count on to do right by them. They are honest, loving, nurturing, and ethical. They treat each resident like family and they care for, treat, and protect the residents in the way all residents deserve.
Necanicum Village is a great Assisted Living and Memory Care community that I hope people choose to visit. You will be very happy with all you find there, I am sure of it.
