Mountain View Ashland Community Testimonials

Mountain View is an Emeritus community based out of Ashland. The Ashland area is gorgeous and an ideal location for a senior living community. I love how the exterior of the building is all white set against the green landscape and mountainous backdrop. The white color makes the building really stand out against the beautiful scenery. There is a little creek around the back of the facility which really just makes the grounds even more beautiful. The residents love when they are able to take walks or socialize with one another outside, they also hold some group activities outdoors when the weather permits. I think if I lived in a town like Ashland I would rather be outdoors all the time as well!

Inside the facility is always very clean and well-kept, I can see that the staff, the maintenance team, and the residents themselves take great pride in taking care of their facility and making it a very warm and inviting place to call home. I have heard several complaints, though not by the residents, about the simplicity of the interior decorating of the facility, and frankly, when I hear these complaints I sort of just brush them off because it really isn't a critical issue in my mind. Sure the facility's decor and design is very simple but I think that makes the facility even more home-like. I prefer a few plants and a couple pictures to extravagant works of art and indoor fountains. Some facilities make themselves look more like museums instead of what they really are supposed to be... a safe, loving, and welcoming place for the residents to call their home. I have never once had a resident tell me that the thing they need or look for in a facility is life size sculptures and fine art. No, what they tell me they need is a secure, friendly, and welcoming facility with a personable and approachable care team where their needs are met and their friends and family are close by. That's it, sure they also love some of the amenities and services offered and the activities, events, and parties. But when it comes down to it, Mountain View has done right by putting their resources, time, and effort into programs, activities, and beneficial items and necessities for the residents and not into the interior decorating. I, personally, would rather be in a facility where they care more about the residents than the drapes.

The residents in this facility are treated so wonderfully. The care team is so patient, loving, understanding, encouraging, and the list goes on and on. It is obvious that the staff members adore the residents and vise versa, I always smile when watching them interact with one another, they are very close and they share in each other's blessings and sorrows, they are as close to a family as a facility can get and I always feel honored to be able to visit Mountain View. The facility and the people who make up the facility are truly exceptional and one-of-a-kind and I would highly recommend this facility to anyone and everyone.
