Painted Post Senior Living Community

A Wonderful Place to Live

The scenic Finger Lakes region provides a picturesque back drop for many of our activities-Grape picking and lunching at area wineries along the pristine shores of Keuka Lake, area Country Rides, excursions to Sprague's Maple Farm, fishing at Ratchford Pond, and a rodeo in Lawrenceville. We embrace our resident's wealth of their life time knowledge and experiences by encouraging them to lead discussion groups-Bible Study Group, Veteran's Issues, Book Review Club, Craft Corner, etc... Everyone always loves to join us for our Happy Hours and Ice Cream Socials!

Come enjoy our active activity and social calendar with us! Weekly, we have our ice cream social, happy hour, Friday luncheons off site, Monday shopping excursions, trivia, craft corner, church services, exercise programs, nail care, root beer floats, coffee cafe, card clubs, current events, name that tune and sing alongs, Wii games, board games, lighten up and laugh, Bingo, movie nights, croquet in the courtyard, and many others! We have monthly concerts, pet therapy, gardening group, wine of the month, our new residents’ welcome tea, book club, cooking groups, resident council, food council, spelling bees, and yard games! We love special occasions: Christmas caroling by the fireplace, senior prom, Superbowl party, Kentucky Derby dance, children's Halloween parade, pumpkin painting, family Christmas party, white elephant sale, holiday glamour shots, 30 days of Christmas movies, and our holiday cookouts!

Partnering with the Local Community

Our residents wouldn't miss being in the Memorial Day parade, Parade of Lights or the Colonial Days Parade. We have cookouts and concerts for the surrounding community. The Eagle Scouts have completed projects here to earn their leadership badges. We work with the youth F.B.I. (Faith Based Initiatives) and Big Brothers/Big Sisters to help provide a higher quality of life for our residents, as well as helping youth gain a better understanding and respect for the aging process. Our participation in the local community fosters the idea that our residents and community have so much to offer at this point in their lives.

Our residents are active participants in the Parade of Lights, Colonial Days Parade, and Memorial Day Parade. We hold family picnics and open houses for the surrounding community. We host Alzheimer's Support Group meetings, as well as seminars on health and financial needs of the senior community. We host yearly flu and pneumonia shot clinics for local residents.

Fine Dining

Pam Costley very capably directs the dining services program. They serve three deliciously nutritious and eye-appealing meals every morning, noon, and evening. The meals consist of an appetizer, a choice of two entrees, vegetables, garnish, and dessert, all served restaurant-style in our two formal Victorian furnished dining rooms. We have special dinners for holidays with creatively decorated tables, both inside or out.
