Assisted Living Services

Our assisted living services are provided on an individual basis through the use of specialized care plans for each of our residents. The care plan is tailored to the specific needs of each individual and planning is done in conjunction with the staff, resident and family. Our care is defined by NYS DOH regulations and Emeritus Senior Living policies and procedures. Being part of Emeritus Senior Living gives us assess to a myriad of resources and professionals available in the care planning for our residents.

Memory Care Services

Emeritus at Lakewood offers care to residents with dementia. Our entire staff is trained with the use of the Emeritus "Join their Journey" program. We do not have a separated memory care unit, but we do offer a day memory program. With a ratio of one specially trained aide to every 6 participants, we offer special care, activities, and recreation from 9:00 to 5:00, seven days a week. The residents who participate in this program join the rest of the community for meals, church, and other activities. They all benefit from the special schedule and programming carried out each day by a caring and welcoming staff. Because Lakewood is part of Emeritus Senior Living, we have access to all of their training and resources when caring for our dementia population.
