Assisted Living Services
Dementia can impact every aspect of life. As a result, we typically provide extensive assistance with daily living. For example, most residents require regular help – even if it’s just prompting them to come to dinner or helping them select appropriate clothing for the day. But ultimately, our goal is to help them remain as independent as possible; we are simply here to help them as needed. If a resident can put on his own shirt, we would never step in and take over that task for them. Their dignity and independence is always forefront in our minds.

Alzheimer’s, Dementia and Memory Care Services
Our memory care community has been designed specifically to meet the needs of our residents, providing a safe, secured environment without making them feel restricted. Their own neighborhood is home, where they have the freedom to engage in smaller groups. They can also access the entire community, including the Town Square. And they can wander outside (always supervised). Our entire building is also surrounded by walkways, a courtyard and mature landscaping. Pets are also welcome and are an important part of helping provide a sense of comfort and familiarity.
As an Emeritus community, we also take full advantage of its unique memory care program, called Join Their Journey. Creating opportunities for memory expression is an important part of Join Their Journey. Toward this end, we have baskets set up throughout the community that are designed to inspire memories, like quilting materials or woodworking tools, for example. And we always respect the resident’s past routine. For example, if a new resident wasn’t involved in activities while at home, we make sure they have the freedom to continue being themselves and live their lives in a way they feel most comfortable.
