The Oaks senior living community provides many activities for daily living including bowling, bingo, playing cards, puzzle activities, crafts, trivia games, bible studies, church services, special events, daily exercise for all residents and many other activities. Special events include but not limited to music concerts, educational talks, movies, and professional performances.

Partnering with the Community

The Oaks participates in many outside activities including the Wayne Chicken Show, Wayne County fair, tailgate parties, parades, Chamber of Commerce brunches and coffees and other activities associated with the Wayne area. Staff participate in Rotary Club, Kiwanis Club, Lions Club, and the Wayne Chamber of Commerce just to name a few. As well the Oaks community is a member of the Nebraska Assisted Living Association, which is a part of the Nebraska Hospital Association.

Fine Dining

Meals at The Oaks are provided as fine dining restaurant style with special meals throughout the year. The Oaks is supported by Crandall Dietitians who develop and support the menu for residents. Our dining service department provides a wonderful dining experience many times supported by piano music and a restaurant style delivery. The community offers several types of diets for the special needs of residents.
