A Wonderful Active Lifestyle
Brentwood at Niles has a Life Enrichment program that is designed to engage and excite our residents. We have some structured activities that typically are at the same time on the same day of the week such as, Mass, bible study, exercise and coffee hour and lets not forget, BINGO! Then we have various other activities to put a little bit of spice in the lives of our residents. These may include, going out to eat, to a movie, special events that are going on in our greater Nile community events. The “Concert in the Park” is an especially liked community activity. Different bands come and perform live and at no cost to the Niles senior living community and their residents.
Partnering with the Community
Brentwood at Niles is active in our community. We sponsor Bingo at the local Senior Centers and we participate in the Walk to End Alzheimer’s to benefit the Alzheimer’s Association. We also host an annual Craft Bazaar here at our community, we’ve done a fashion show in partnership with local retailers such as Wal-Mart, Fashion Bug, etc. We’ve invited local hair salon’s to participate and give our “models”, who are actually our residents, a special “do” for the day.
Fine Dining
What can we say about Jerry, our Dining Service Director?!! He is awesome!! His food is exemplary. It is tasty, hot, attractive and our residents love it! We have 3 meals a day and they can be specialized to include “regular”, “mechanical soft”, “diabetic”, and “pureed”. We have family nights that sometimes include dinners for our residents, their families and potential residents and their families as well. This is a great, casual time for our potential families to come and get to know other families that have gone through what they are going through now. Our dining services go out of their way to please our residents. If there is a special request for something that isn’t on the menu, we do our best to accommodate that request. Jerry has been with Brentwood at Niles for the past few of years and has gotten rave reviews on his efforts and the quality of his food and the service his staff provide to our residents.
