As we like to say, we don’t sell real estate; we sell care. What sets us apart is what we do for the people who live here. .No two residents are alike, and every care plan is different. In order to make sure each resident has the best quality of life possible, we encourage independence, but we are here to offer increased levels of support should the resident require additional help. Every service we provide is tailored to our residents’ specific needs – even our activities. For example, if a resident loves to cook, our Life Enrichment Director will be sure to create an activity that gives the individual the chance to cook a favorite recipe.

Our assisted living community also has an amazing staff of nurses, available 24 hours a day. While they don’t practice day-to-day nursing care, our nurses monitor residents and communicate closely with families and third-party medical providers about any changes they may see. They make sure that those needs are attended to quickly and thoroughly, getting the right people and facilities in place to be sure the resident’s health concerns are properly addressed. And they oversee our Resident Assistants, training them on an ongoing basis, so that our caregivers know just what to look out for and how to properly provide for our residents with the utmost respect and dignity.

Memory Care Services

As an Emeritus community, we follow the Join Their Journey program, which is designed to help each resident have the best quality of life as possible. As part of this, our memory care residents are surrounded by familiar items from their past. For example, when someone moves in, we gather their life story, typically with the family’s help. Through this discovery process, we put together interactive activity kits or “life stations” filled with items that the resident can become involved with. For example, one of our residents was a schoolteacher. We have a separate area in our community set up as a classroom, with desks and chalkboard. We join her journey when she’s up in the front of the room, teaching her class. We also have a special veterans section set up with uniforms, photos of our veteran residents, flags and music, as well as a sewing section for our residents who were once homemakers. We always engage ourselves with whatever the resident is doing – always validating where they are in their journey.
