A Wonderful Active Lifestyle

Our daily calendar of events is chalk full of activities for our residents to enjoy. Our Life Enrichment Director works hard to create a schedule of events that our residents enjoy participating in. Our goal in community activities is to help make every residents day better and more enriched. We strive to have diverse activities and programs to better meet all of our residents’ preferences. Some of our day-to-day activities include Bingo, live music entertainment, movies and popcorn, and much, much more! Here at Emeritus at Kenner we take advantage of any reason to celebrate! We pride ourselves in having exciting parties for every holiday, including Mardi Gras. We love to show our appreciation for our residents by having a monthly birthday celebration for all residents that had a birthday during the month.

Partnering with the Local Neighborhood Community

Emeritus at Kenner is a polling place for our community which allows our resident to vote in the comfort of their own home. We host a monthly girl scout meeting as well as a monthly Alzheimer’s support group in our community. Our local high school students gain wonderful experiences by volunteering in our community and enriching our residents day to day lives.

Fine Dining

Down in the Big Easy we pride ourselves on preparing local cuisine for our residents to enjoy. Some of our favorites are gumbo, red beans and rice, crawfish ettouffee, and praline cheesecake. We also prepare more traditional meals that even the pickiest of eaters can enjoy. Our dining room is open for 2 different seating times at every meal to accommodate the early risers as well as the night owls. Our restaurant style dining enables our residents to choose their meals for the day instead of having them chose for them. If a resident is not keen to what is being served, we have a variety of always available menu options.
