Set on two acres of beautifully landscaped grounds with a courtyard and gazebo, Village Oaks at Greenwood is considered one of the premier assisted living and Alzheimer's communities in Indianapolis. Located close to I-465, I-74 and I-65, our community offers 64 apartments all on one level for easy access. Here our residents — in many cases, with their pets — enjoy retirement living. Yet should you need a helping hand from our warm and caring staff, we also offer complete assisted living services, tailor-made to your needs. We've designed our services to focus on wellness, helping you maintain or improve your health, so you can live as independently as possible. Services are overseen our medical director, a Certified Geriatrician and faculty member of Indiana University School of Medicine.

Join Their Journey — Alzheimer's and Dementia Care

Our community also offers an innovative memory care program, Join Their Journey®, for seniors affected by Alzheimer's or dementia — and in fact, other communities in the area that do not have a Memory Care program often refer seniors to our licensed program. Because your family's experience will be unlike any other, our goal is to get to know you and your loved one, so that we can offer support and solutions for your individual situation. We "join the journey" of your loved one by recognizing individuality, encouraging choices and allowing residents the dignity to live in a secure, personalized and familiar setting that feels comfortable for them. (Medicaid waivers accepted.)

Our common areas — including our lovely dining room, library and TV room — give residents and their loved ones the opportunity to get to know one another. We also offer a wide range of activities each month, including community outings to sporting events and cultural attractions. Village Oaks at Greenwood is conveniently located in an urban area near Wal-Mart, Chase Bank, Borders, Barnes & Noble and the Indianapolis Zoo. Several medical facilities are also nearby, including St. Francis Hospital, Community Hospital of Indianapolis, Methodist Hospital, St. Vincent Indianapolis Hospital and a nursing home rehabilitation facility if ever needed.

If you are living on your own, you can also choose to spend the day with us. Our in-house senior day programs offers health services tailored to your needs to help you maintain your independence. At the same time, you'll meet new people and enjoy meaningful activities that enrich your life, including shopping outings, live entertainment, educational programs, games and much more. Breakfast, lunch and snacks are provided.
