This is a simple promise that the staff at Emeritus at Urbandale - and throughout Emeritus Senior Living communities - has shared since 2008, when our community first opened its doors. The Perfect Location

Emeritus at Urbandale is located in a beautiful suburb of Des Moines, Iowa, which allows us to enjoy the convenience of the city, yet gives us the feeling of rural living. Our community is alongside a wooded area which is inhabited by wildlife that residents so often get to enjoy.

Emeritus at Urbandale is a convenient location for all of those living in and around Des Moines. In addition we are only minutes from two major interstates. Stop in any time for a tour!!!

A Wonderful Selection

We at Emeritus at Urbandale take pride in our memory care community. There are two types of apartments to choose from which are specifically designed for memory care residents; private and friendship suites. Both types of apartments are bright and spacious yet functional, all of which include private restrooms.

Senior Residential and Assisted Living

Our community has been built from the ground up with memory care in mind. We have 38 apartments which are all on one level for easy access to the dining rooms, activity rooms and common areas. In order to accomodate the residents and their visitors there are no elevators, stairs or numerous hallways to navigate through. Our floor plan is also especially designed for the residents. They are able to walk through our beautiful community without the fear of getting lost or disoriented.

Strong, Caring Professional Relationships

We have built strong relationships with local physical, occupational and speech therapists as well as national and local hospices and home care agencies. We would always be happy to work with you should the need for extra care arise for your loved one by assisting you with finding the perfect fit for your specific needs.

Our Staff

All of our staff are dedicated to our residents and take pride in the care they provide. To ensure the highest quality of care for our community all staff are certified in State and company Dementia and Alzheimer’s training.

Accomplishments

Emeritus at Urbandale is the only providing memory community with the top of the line technology, called Vigilin. With this technology we are able to maximize our quality of care we provide our residents.
