Corporate Governance
Our commitment
At Emeritus, we are committed to conducting our business in accordance with the highest ethical and legal standards. Our commitment to our residents, our employees and our shareholders will never be compromised by conducting business in an unethical or illegal manner. We hold our officers, directors and employees to this commitment to ensure we will maintain our place as a market leader and a highly successful company.
Reporting unethical or illegal business practices
Emeritus has selected Ethics First to provide a simple, risk-free way to anonymously and confidentially report actual or suspected activities that may involve criminal conduct or violations of our Code of Conduct or Code of Ethics.
Our Board of Directors, its audit committee and the management team of Emeritus value your input. Emeritus expects that information filed in such a report is accurate, honest and specific.
The Ethics First service is for reporting on matters that could have a material financial statement impact, rather than resident care or employee relations issues, which are handled separately.
Filing a report
To report financial-related issues on the secure Ethics First Web site, click here, or contact them by calling 1-888-529-5827 (toll free). Reporting individuals will remain anonymous and reports submitted to Ethics First are confidential.
