Assisted Living Services
At Emeritus at Fort Wayne, we offer assistance with activities of daily living to our residents who may need a little help. Our staff can provide services such as bathing/grooming, transferring, dressing and medication management. Our resident care director assesses the needs of our residents before they move in so we know what the residents’ needs are and are ready to assist them. New assessments are completed at least semi-annually, but, more frequently if the resident has a change in condition. As part of the Emeritus family, we have access to resources and expertise to help us determine and provide a specific level of care for each of our residents.

Memory Care Services
Emeritus at Fort Wayne has a Memory Care neighborhood that is specifically designed for those living with dementia and Alzheimer's. Our memory care approach is called “Join Their Journey®,” where our main intention is to discover and learn everything about our resident’s life story so we can develop a specific therapeutic plan of care. Our staff members are trained and oriented continually on how to best engage a resident that is experiencing memory difficulty. At Emeritus at Fort Wayne, it's our partnership with the families that enables us to provide superior activity-focused care. Our parent company, Emeritus Senior Living, incorporates the support and expertise of the nationally recognized clinical neuropsychologist, Dr. Paul Nussbaum, to ensure that we offer a brain healthy lifestyle for our seniors.
