The Perfect Location

Set on beautifully landscaped grounds with a courtyard and lovely gardens, Emeritus at Joliet Courtyard is a new Alzheimer's and Dementia Care community located close to I-55 and I-80 in a residential area between Joliet and Shorewood. Our community is within an easy drive of Rock Run Forest Preserve, and near several medical facilities, including Provena St. Joseph Medical Center, Silver Cross Hospital and a nursing home rehabilitation facility if ever needed.

Emeritus of Joliet is located on beautifully landscaped grounds with a courtyard and lovely gardens. We are nestled in a quiet area that offers spectacular views of the Rock Run Forest Preserve and Nature area. We offer the convenience of living in an urban area with access to various shopping venues like Westfield Shopping Center and Target with the serene & picturesque atmosphere of a nature preserve.

We are conveniently located near Interstate 55 and Interstate 80. We have access to quality medical care through Provena St. Joseph Hospital which is 5 minutes from our campus. With the hospital campus nearby we have numerous medical specialists in the area as well.

The historic Rialto Theater offers amazing live performances and is only minutes from our campus.

A Wonderful Selection

You will feel the inviting and home like atmosphere from the moment you step in our door. We have a lovely fireside lounge are where resident's can visit one another or enjoy reading the newspaper or watching a television program. We have a bright open dining room where you can enjoy a delicious meal with neighbors and friends or you may choose to host a private party in our elegant private dining room.

This is a cozy space that is perfect for a birthday celebration or quiet intimate family dinner. We have a sprawling front porch that looks out over the Rock Run Nature Preserve. Our residents enjoy sitting outside listening to the sounds of nature and gazing at the beautiful landscape of the preserve.

Our amenities include a library with computer / internet access, activities center, country store, billards room with slot machines, wellness center and meeting room. We have transportation services to local doctors, shopping and dining.

Strong, Caring Professional Relationships

We welcome any and all therapists to provide services, right here in the resident’s own home. They can also work with residents outside along the walking paths, which encircle the campus. What better place to get healthy and strong than being surrounded by professionally landscaped grounds, fresh air and sunshine!

Once the therapist has completed the session, he or she provides a written report, which is added to the resident’s chart. Therapists frequently offer suggestions, which we carefully monitor to be sure their instructions are carried out. We also have an in-house physician who visits his patients right here at our community every month. And if fact, we have our own private exam room for the residents’ convenience.

Should a resident require skilled nursing care or more specialized rehabilitation services, there are several facilities in the immediate area. During the resident’s stay, we keep close tabs on his or her progress, calling frequently for updates and visiting them throughout their stay. We also carefully reevaluate their health needs to be sure additional services are in place before they return home to us. Hospice support is also very welcome here at our community, so that residents can remain in their own homes, even in their final days.

Staff

We have a warm and caring staff that treat our resident's with courtesy and respect. We have several staff members in different departments that have been here since the community opened 14 years ago. This speaks to their committment to the resident's and their role as an employee of the community.
