Pocatello, Idaho Alzheimer's and Memory Care Community

A Wonderful Active Lifestyle

At Emeritus at Highland Hills, we take pride in our rich and varied activity program, which is tailored to our residents’ interests, skills and abilities. We have a monthly calendar filled with activities that honor our residents’ preferences and are geared to stimulate interaction. We help our residents stay healthy by offering exercise classes Monday through Friday. They enjoy shopping excursions to Kmart and the Dollar Store and going out to eat at different restaurants. Our residents also enjoy going to our local senior center to play Bingo and have lunch monthly.

We offer many special events in the community on a regular basis, including visiting musicians, sing-alongs, Barbeques, Ice Cream Socials, Bingo, carnivals and luau and much more. The Church of Latter Day Saints provides Relief Society services every Thursday and a regular service on Sunday. Grace Lutheran holds a Sunday service once per month, the Calvary Chapel has a service every other Sunday, and St. Anthony’s provides communion service once per month.

Partnering with the Local Neighborhood Community

Emeritus at Highland Hills is passionate about being active in our community. We contribute to a variety of local programs in many ways. We sponsor the Backpack Program for the children at Grace Lutheran Elementary School who can’t afford school supplies. We also sponsor the Senior Games every year, including catering the opening ceremony dinner. The community hosts food bank and blood bank drives for our local community. Our life enrichment director, along with our residents, often treat our local EMS and Fire Department with baked goods and meals to thank them for taking such good care of them. Emeritus at Highland Hills also hosts an Annual Easter Egg Hunt for the children of Pocatello and our Idaho State University students volunteer with our intergenerational activities.

Fine Dining

Emeritus at Highland Hills offers three delicious home-style meals daily as well as snacks throughout the day. There is always a choice of entrees as well as an “always available menu.” Our dining services director has provided excellent service and food for our residents for the past five years. Prior to that, she worked in the catering and collegiate dining services environment. Collectively, our dining services team pride themselves on preparing most meals from scratch, use fresh vegetables and fruits seasonally and offer a variety in food choices for our residents.
