The Perfect Location
Lake Springs offers all of the benefits of being located in the heart of the city of Buford, while still being on it’s own private wooded and peaceful property. Lake Springs is a three short miles away from the shopping and dining experiences The Mall of Georgia and only a mile away from the historic district of the city of Buford. We are located just off the exit on I-985 and are mere feet from Buford Hwy, Satellite Boulevard, and Georgia Hwy 20, and Hamilton Mill Road.
We offer beautiful wooded views on location and local attractions are Lake Lanier, Bogan Park, and the Chattahoochee River. Our community is within a few miles of the library, the aquatic center, the Buford Senior Center, and local theater and stage performances. The yearly Buford Jazz Festival is a big hit, and we are just a short walk away from all of the action.
We have two shuttles that provide transportation for our residents and we are always ON THE GO! Our residents make routine trips to local shopping attractions such as Publix, Wal-Mart, and The Mall of Georgia, as well as their regular appointments or to see local sites. Our recent trip to Harrah’s Cherokee Casino was a big hit for our residents.
With our close proximity to Gwinnett Medical Center, Northside Hospital Forsyth, North East Georgia Medical Center and offer a large number of medical services that are performed onsite. We can connect your family to some of the very best options for geriatric care that is provide care on location at our property. Everything from primary physicians, physical therapists (also occupational and speech), podiatrists, optometrists, audiologists, and even geriatric psychologists are offered locally and tend to our residents in-house.
If you are a sports fan, Buford is the place to be! We have the Triple A Major League team for the Atlanta Braves (our very own Gwinnett Braves) right in our own back yard and our local hockey favorites, The Gwinnett Gladiators. And for football fans, Buford High is the reigning four-time State Champions! Since we are such a short distance to all the action in Atlanta, our residents have the option for professional basketball, baseball, and football teams that are only a short drive away.

When your family chooses Lake Springs, they are also presented with several options for on-site physician visits, and our own on-site physical therapy/occupational therapy team. We can connect your family with options for gerontologists, dentists, dermatologists, podiatrists, geriatric psychologists, optometrists, and general practitioners who we have excellent relationships with, and whom provide care and visits for our residents ON-SITE. The days of “house-calls” from local doctors has returned, and getting the best possible care to your loved ones is our most important concern. We of course offer transportation to and from their doctors visits for residents who have their preferred local doctors or providers, and seek to present them with the greatest array of care options.
We are connected to the Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce, the Buford Business Alliance, Georgia ALFA, the Gwinnett Senior Providers Network, and a host of others. Our partnerships with these local professionals allows us the unique opportunity to bring the best possible care and services to our families and the very best rate.

Our campus is three-stage transitional, offering HUGE Independent Living Cottages (over 1840sqft each!) as well as a beautiful Assisted Living and Memory Care Neighborhood. When someone makes the move to Lake Springs, they are truly joining a family and some of the most wonderful experiences and relationships.
We offer THREE separate dining rooms, an in-house physical therapy room, our beautiful private library, our old-time ice-cream parlor, exclusive cottage clubhouse, golf-cart path, walking paths, The Lake Springs “Garden Walk”, beauty shop (with our own barber & stylist), expansive living room, our Wicker/Sunroom, and giant beautiful front porch lined with comfortable chairs. Whether our residents are watching the Super Bowl on the big screen in the Ice Cream Parlor, or enjoying some piano music by the fireplace in the living room, we offer a little of everything!

- We have a TRUE, classically-trained Chef: Chef Tom Pritchett is here to meet your loved ones needs. With over 24 years of culinary experience, Chef Tom has served presidents (both Bush and Clinton) and has always worked for the FINEST of establishments.
- We have an experienced, licensed, Executive Director: (Kimberlee Kelly, NHA) has been with us (at Emeritus) for over 6 years and has over 12 years of passionate senior living experience. She is dedicated to meet your families needs and always has an open door to talk. Schedule a time to have a meal or meeting with Kimberlee!
- We have an experienced, Full-Time Nurse: Our Resident Care Director, D. Carter, has over 17 years of nursing experience. While he has additional nursing background in emergency and behavioral health, Carter has always worked in geriatrics and geriatric psych. During his free time, Carter is passionate about attending church with his family and being involved in ministry. As he is always available to help, take time to talk with Carter about his dedication to the residents here at Lake Springs!
- Our Nationally Recognized, Memory Care “Join Their Journey” Program: Under the leadership of our Memory Care Director, Tracy Garbutt, we proudly boast one of the greatest memory care programs in the country though our communities focus on what we call The Six Signatures. The Six Signatures are committed areas of programing for Wellness, Dining Experience, Supportive Environment, Life Enrichment, Family Partnerships, and Team Development. Tracy is always available to talk to you about her passion for meeting the needs of residents with Alzheimer’s and dementia.

- We have an educated and experienced staff: Many of our staff members have degrees and certifications in their field, and every member of our team has undergone extensive training before joining our team as well (as continuing education classes as a staff member). We have several staff members who have been with us for 7 to 10 years and are honored to give your family the most qualified individuals possible to meet their needs.
- TWO Beautiful Transportation Shuttles: Our reliable transportation system allows us to meet all of your family’s needs as we can supply trips to and from their doctor’s appointments as well as trips to various local activities (from tourist destinations, to dining and shopping excursions). We are always on the go!
- We are 3-Stage Transitional: This means we offer options for transition from our Independent Living Cottages, our Assisted Living Community, and our Memory Care Neighborhood. No other community in the state offers the kinds of living options that we have here at Lake Springs.

Our Staff
Our staff at Lake Springs are the most kind, patient, and loving individuals who truly have a heart for working with seniors. We offer an excellent resident-to-caregiver ratio and many of our staff members have degrees and certifications in their field. Our care team is lead by our licensed Executive Director, Kimberlee Kelly, and our experienced nurse and Resident Care Director, D. Carter. Every member of our team has undergone extensive training before joining our team as well (as continuing education classes as a staff member). We have several staff members who have been with us for 7 to 10 years and are honored to give your family the most qualified individuals possible to meet their needs. We find the perfect fit each member of the team, and match personalities of residents to our caregivers so that they will get the very best quality of life.
