The Perfect Location

The City of Buford was incorporated August 24, 1872. Thomas Garner and Larkin Smith named the town after Colonel A. S. Buford, the president of the railroad that ran from Atlanta to Charlotte, NC. Buford is located in North Georgia near the metro Atlanta community area and along the southern edge of beautiful Lake Lanier. Buford is a closely knit community which has built its foundation on the importance of family and friends.

Brookside is located in the heart of historic Buford, GA. We are a distinct community that embodies class and grace. Brookside sits hillside with a beautiful tree lined drive. We are private in location, but never to be forgotten once you visit. Our residents enjoy many outings, one of which is trips to Jaemor Farms for freshly grown produce and tastes of sweet southern preserves. The Mall of Georgia is also a main attraction as it is just 5 miles from our community. Brookside is an ideal community. From a relaxing atmosphere to themed events to day trips, Brookside is a truly well-rounded community of care and support.

With 3 apartment layouts to choose from, you are sure to find the perfect option for you or your loved one. All apartment bathrooms are modified with senior-friendly shower seats and handrails. Our goal is to make every new resident feel at home whether there for a respite stay or longer. You are sure to notice that our home is filled with love.

Brookside’s formal living room and dining room are connected by our marbled entrance and tear-drop chandelier. Our activity room has many books, tapes and a new 60-inch television which the residents utilize when gathering for their favorite movies and TV programs. Our outdoor area is designed with rockers under our pavilion as well as flower and vegetable gardens maintained by our residents themselves. Our courtyard is a delight for the eyes and receives many compliments from visitors and guests.

Strong, Caring Professional Relationships

We maintain close relationships with local geriatric physicians, rehabilitation centers, and skilled nursing facilities. We feel that we all have the same goal in mind, which is to care for our senior population. With such common ground, we communicate well with these affiliates to provide the best care and services possible.

Our Staff

There is nothing more heart warming than seeing familiar faces who you have grown to trust. That is what Brookside offers every day. Many of our staff members have been at the community four or more years. Our residents deserve to have trusting and secure relationships with those that care for them, and we strive to make that a reality. The services that Brookside provides our residents are performed by knowledgeable and reliable staff. Our staff members offer day-to-day care with caring hands and loving hearts.
