Assisted Living Services
Because most of our residents need extensive assistance with activities of daily living, we keep our caregiver-to-staff ratio low – 1:8 – which is significantly better than most nursing homes. Our caregivers are specially trained to help residents with eating, bathing and many other daily tasks. In an effort to support the needs of our residents, we have a nurse on staff who works closely with the nurse at the Emeritus at Sandy Springs Place our sister community. Typically, if the staff a believes a resident is in the early stages of memory impairment, they will reach out to the families 90 days in advance, to help pave the way for an easier transition. In fact, some residents move into Emeritus at Sandy Springs knowing that eventually they will need to move into Emeritus at Sandy Springs Place later on. This can make it so much easier on our families, knowing that mom or dad can remain close to their friends and caregivers, even if they should need a higher level of care.
The assisted living services provided include : 3 meals a day, snacks, 24-hour elder care staffing, transportation, laundry service, housekeeping and more. Learn more about Emeritus' senior assisted living communities.
