A Wonderful Active Lifestyle

Emeritus at Carrollwood senior living community is bustling with activities 7 days a week. Days are filled with getting fit classes, pet visits, brain health workouts and fabulous ice cream socials to name a few activities. Outings to shopping centers and local restaurants are also very popular. We offer fabulous activities. Some of the favorite resident activities are trivia, pet visits, Bingo, youth group visits, current events, ice cream socials and the butter bean auction. We have our life enrichmet director in the community 7 days a week!

Partnering with the Local Neighborhood Community

Emeritus at Carrollwood frequently hosts educational programs which are open and free to the public. In addition, we host events for area health care professionals. We are active in the Alzheimer's Association and frequently host fundraisers for this organization. We are also a supporter of the University of South Florida Alzheimer's and Gerontology Center.

Fine Dining

Our dining service director is Judith Taylor-Young. She has an exectutive chef degree from The Culinary School of Washington and La Academy de Cuisine, Bethesda, MD. She also holds a degree from Montgomery College in hotel management. She has held restaurant chef positions with Hyatt hotels and Disneyworld prior to her 10-year employment with Emeritus at Carrollwood. Our dining service program is stellar for many reasons: we use fresh herbs, prepare sauces with wine, marinate meat to assure tenderness, slice our own pork and beef, prepare all soups from scratch and we make flavored butters. All of our chefs are experienced and take great pride in the entrees they prepare.
