Emeritus recognizes that each one of our assisted living communities functions as a local business. Our families choose location as their primary factor in selecting a assisted living community, and many of our residents are referred by family and friends who are already part of our Emeritus family. We strive to meet the needs of the resident yet allowing them the freedom of independence without the stress of daily life. Many of our staff member live in the surrounding area of the community. This awards us with a large drawing of volunteers from the local schools, churches and cultural arena.

Memory Care Services

Emeritus designed the memory care program centered on our Join Their Journey program. The five signatures of this program are designed to promote brain health through wellness, specially designed life enrichment activities, dining experiences, family partnerships, professionally trained staff members and a supportive environment. Emeritus provides ongoing training opportunities and a comprehensive resource library for our staff members. Our families are part of the Emeritus Family which facilitates support groups, family council meetings and a volunteer program. Our residents’ lives are captured in specially designed life story questionnaires, completed by loving family members and staff on a regular basis. A loved one's precious moments in time are shared in the form of a personal letter sent monthly to our families, detailing a special event shared with their family member in our community.
