A Wonderful Selection

You enter our retirement community through a traditional southern setting of centennial oak trees, lush landscaping, and a red brick exterior with large white columns lining a relaxing front porch area. Our community is one of comfort and hospitality. The most common comment we hear is, "Your community is so warm and welcoming." Our lovely apartments are unique. We offer roomy one-bedroom apartments and studios, with huge walk-in closets and a large kitchen area, as well as large walk-in showers. Some have outdoor access to our courtyard area.

Emeritus at Colonial Park offers 86 large senior apartments and studios, all on one level for easy access to the dining room, library, large living room, activity center, lanai, rehabilitation therapy suite and courtyard areas. Whether dining with friends in the private dining room, relaxing with a good book in the library, enjoying activities in the activity center, or relaxing on the front porch, it gives our residents and their loved ones the opportunity to choose whether to converse in the privacy of their comfortable senior apartment or in the company of others in the community. We also offer a wide range of activities each month, home cooked meals, and off-site excursions. Each day at Emeritus at Colonial Park is about living life to the fullest and letting us take care of all the mundane daily chores.

We nurture strong relationships with area hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, and rehabilitation centers such as, Sarasota Memorial Hospital, Doctor's Hospital, Heartland Rehabilitation, Health South Rehabilitation Hospital, Manor Care, The Springs of Sarasota, Beneva Lakes, Sarasota Memorial Rehabilitation Center, Sunnyside Manor Rehabilitation, Meals on Wheels Adult Day Care, Springwood, Consulate, and The Pines of Sarasota. Through the communications and relationships that we share with key staff within these affiliations, we provide seamless continuum of care for our residents.

Our Staff

Our management team is lead by our executive director who has been with Emeritus for over 3 years, and our resident care team leader is a respected nursing professional with over 20 years in service to the community, mostly at Sarasota Memorial Hospital. The management team in comprised of professionals that have tenures as long at 10 years in our building while our average tenure is 5 years for our line staff. Emeritus at Colonial Park has been selective when choosing those who will make up this team to serve its residents; only people with heart, experience, and a desire to serve are accepted into this family.
