Bradenton Assisted Living and Memory Care Services

Assisted Living Services

Our caregivers are gifted in their ability to offer help in a respectful and non-invasive way, so that residents never feel like we’re taking over their lives. We strive to provide assisted living services in a way that actually enhances our residents’ freedom and dignity. For example, we might ask, “Would you like me to stay in the room while you are showering”? A helping hand is extended in a subtle way – not in a way that encourages dependence. Services are provided according to the resident’s personalized care plan, which we review on a periodic basis so that residents get just the help they need. Because of this philosophy, we see residents improving – and even thriving. Instead of sitting alone at home watching television, they are taking their medications on a regular basis, eating property, being involved in activities and getting out into the community.

Memory Care Services

<>Here at Emeritus at College Park, we are all involved in educating our families in our Join their Journey program. We offer monthly support groups for families and friends. Holly, our program director, has been a member of our team for the last 3 years and brings 20 years of experience in Alzheimer’s care with her. We have two employees that are Alzheimer facilitators and host monthly meetings in house.

We offer many activities that enhance the lives of our residents that have memory loss issues. We design our activities on the life stories of our residents which are provided by their families, and on what our residents like to do. It is not uncommon to see some residents in a baking class while other residents are being assisted by staff in our garden. Some residents enjoy art class and some just like to reminisce about past events. We enjoy weekly outings to the beach or ice-cream parlor. Chef does a great “snacktivity” class twice a week, and many residents enjoy the aromatherapy just before dinner. Let’s not forget our weekly happy hour with dancing, which many residents and family members say is one of their favorite things to do.
