Most Emeritus communities offer short-term respite care services. Residents who come for respite care enjoy all the amenities provided for our full time residents, including a beautiful fully-furnished apartment with phone and cable TV, three meals a day, weekly housekeeping, linen service and much more.

The days for your loved one will be filled with meaningful activities in a safe, pleasant environment, and with our nurse on staff you’ll have the peace of mind knowing that they’ll receive all the care they need. Emeritus' short term respite care services include*:

Sometimes a week is what YOU need! Worry-free assisted living vacation suites on an as-needed basis for your loved one. There are a multitude of reasons why worry-free vacation suites are the perfect solution. We’ll entertain them while you go have some fun.

There are several reason that your loved one may want to take advantage of short term respite care from Emeritus:

• He or she is thinking about moving into an Emeritus senior living community, but wants to fully experience the Emeritus Senior Living lifestyle before making a final decision.
• He or she is being discharged from a hospital or nursing home, but may still need some extra help to ease the transition to home.
• A family member or elder caregiver is going away on vacation, and your loved one needs a temporary place to live while the caregiver gets a well-deserved break.

We welcome your loved one to stay in any of our respite care communities for just a week* – or for however long they choose. Your loved one will receive the same services all residents enjoy –and of course, he or she will have the opportunity to enjoy our rich activities programs. In fact, most of our short-stay residents tell us how quickly they feel right at home – so much at home and part of the community that many choose to stay for the longer term.
