Expert Care and Support for Residents With Diabetic Needs
To meet the challenges of managing diabetes, we offer diabetic special care programs at several of our communities, where licensed nurses trained in diabetic management are on staff. They teach, assist or can completely manage the diabetic resident's care needs.
As part of this program, we partner with the resident's physician to ensure that routine lab work and preventive health maintenance check-ups are completed. We can also assist with blood sugar monitoring and medication management, including administration of insulin, as needed.
We also keep residents up to date on the latest equipment and medication options used to manage their disease.
