At Emeritus at White Chapel, we have a very diverse social and recreation calendar to meet the needs of a very independent clientele as well as those with cognitive stimulation needs and physical impairment. We support a variety of activities including live entertainment, outdoor excursions and creative and cultural events. Our residents have fun with our ice cream socials, manicures, or any one of our great clubs for the daily activities. Specific interest groups include poetry group, bird watching and bridge club.

Our senior living community offers many excursions out in the community to museums, Longwood Gardens, as well as lunch and scenic tours of the area. Our partnership with the Newark Senior Center on our campus offers an enhanced level of programming for our active seniors including travel and vacation options.

A variety of religious denominations are represented for spiritual needs. And for the holidays, we have celebrations for friends and family, entertainment and lots to enjoy.

Partnering with the Local Neighborhood Community

Emeritus at White Chapel is available to host community organizations in our large dining area or second floor meeting room (i.e. Boy Scouts, Red Hats, Alzheimer’s Awareness). We also welcome the surrounding public to our religious services on Sundays. Our community also invites neighboring residents to our “dash and dine” program where they can join our residents for lunch or dinner in our fine dining restaurant. The Emeritus at White Chapel is a regular sponsor of the Alzheimer’s Association walk and the Newark Senior Center's annual health and wellness fair.
