The Perfect Location

Mountain Laurel is located approximately 2 ½ miles from downtown Glastonbury on 14 acres of rural land. It is only 1 ½ mile from Route 2 that connects to Routes 84 & 91. We are 90 miles from Boston and 120 miles from New York City.

A Wonderful Selection

This area is known for its farmland and orchards; the home of the Hale Peach, hybrid Roses, that are planted in the famous “Rose Garden” of Hartford, and Strawberry, Raspberry, Blackberry and Blueberry picking. There is a popular country stand, across Hebron Avenue from us, called Roses, that our residents and families love to visit, and pick berries there.

We are also just 10 minutes from Hartford, home to the Mark Twain Homestead, Harriet Beecher Stowe Home, the Wadsworth Antheneum, Hartford Stage Company and Bushnell Theater home of the Hartford Symphony.

Mountain Laurel has a Country French décor and was opened in 2001. There are 81 units which include studios, 1 bedroom, and 2 bedroom units. Our features are; library, crafts room, pub, private dining area, patios, piano lounge, community room, game room, exercise room and beauty parlor/barber shop. Everything is handicap accessible with walk in showers and wheelchair accessible kitchens.

Strong, Caring Professional Relationships

Mountain Laurel works cooperatively with referral agencies, local personal care physicians, visiting nurses, and local & regional Chamber of Commerce organizations. We support the Red Cross, YMCA, Rotary Club, and other service organizations. We host events to feature professional experts from the legal and financial world, which are open to the public.

Our Staff

Our Staff is a carefully screened, highly capable group of people of varied ages and backgrounds. They are exposed to regular in-service training, which gives them the “tools” to provide excellent care for our residents.
