Montrose, Colorado Assisted Living and Memory Care Services

Assisted Living Services

Our assisted living services are regarded as the most important feature of a potential resident’s stay at Sunrise Creek. Kathy Manfred, RN and Residential Care Director (RCD) will sit down with the potential residents and family members prior to move in to ask questions concerning all the daily tasks of living. Knowing how our caregivers can assist your loved one is paramount to creating a healthy, comfortable and secure environment.

The RCD is assisted by Peg Corso, LPN and Janelle Despres, LPN. Our nurses are available in the community during regular business hours to answer questions, consult with residents and their physicians, and are on call 24-hours for emergencies. Our staff is continually trained in care services from Emeritus experts that visit our community and have access to elder care resources from nationally respected leaders in elder care management. These resources include elder health guides, caregiver resources, brain health resources, expert medical blogs and videos, conference calls, and group seminars.

Alzheimer's and Dementia Care Services

Our memory care community is specially designed to provide a personalized, familiar and secure setting for residents experiencing dementia or Alzheimer’s. The secure feature of our memory care provides peace of mind for residents who are wandering or may be exit seekers. It is a smaller more intimate setting, which allows for greater caregiver accessibility to residents.

The memory care staff has been trained by Emeritus memory care nurse experts to join in the resident’s moment; whatever moment the resident is experiencing is where we attempt to make the connection. Through this approach, caregivers can recognize individuality, choices, and help maintain dignity for the memory care resident. Many Alzheimer’s resources are available at the Emeritus corporate web site (www.emeritus.com) for residents and their family members.
