Yreka, California Senior Care Community

A Wonderful Place to Live

At Meadowlark senior care we value the rich history and former interests of our residents. With this information, we design our activity programs to meet those interests. Our residents enjoy a variety of activity options to stimulate their mind, body and spirit. Meadowlark strives to provide activities that meet residents’ social, physical, psychological and spiritual needs. Our activities include daily exercise and activities offered throughout the month, which include games, arts and crafts, creative writing, book worms, Wii games, cards, puzzles, chronicle, afternoon socials, movies, in-house block parties, local entertainment, Bible study, church services and Catholic mass. We also offer monthly a men's breakfast and our “out to lunch bunch.”

Active Community Relationships

Meadowlark is committed to our local community. We host a monthly neuropathy group, and Alzheimer’s/dementia support group. We have also held a Chamber of Commerce breakfast meeting and are on the calendar for a Chamber mixer. This past summer we hosted a luncheon honoring our local nurses. This past year we have been able to donate money to the Senior Homebound Meals program and to our local Veterans office. Being a small and somewhat rural community, we like to support our local businesses and associations by giving back. Last December, we adopted two needy families and through donations from staff, residents and families, we were able to provide holiday gifts for the children and parents. On Halloween, we offer a safe trick-or-treat in-house where the residents enjoy a great intergenerational experience.
